Terms of Service

1. Who can use SportsLive24

You must be 18 or older to hold an account. There is no version of the service for minors, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to register. Minors routinely appear in footage streamed to SportsLive24; that is governed by section 8, not by this one.

If you are creating an account on behalf of a club, school, league or team, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Your account

• Give us accurate information, and keep it current.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account per person. Do not share credentials, and do not let someone else stream under your identity.
• Tell us at hello@sportslive24.net if you think your account has been compromised.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where we can tell you why, we will.

3. What the service is

SportsLive24 ingests a live video stream from your encoder, serves it to viewers, records it in short segments, detects likely highlights from crowd reaction, and lets you assemble those moments into reels and publish an athlete card. Some features require a paid plan (section 12); some are operator-enabled.

The mobile app is the primary way to use the service. There is no full web application — the browser surfaces are this marketing site, the public athlete card, and account management.

4. It is provided as it is, and it will sometimes break

Read this section before you rely on us for a game that matters.

Live video is a chain, and we control one link of it. Between the camera and a viewer's phone sit your encoder, your venue's power and network, the public internet, our ingest servers, our processing workers, and the viewer's own connection. Any of those can fail, and when one does the stream stutters, drops, or ends.

SportsLive24 is provided “as is” and “as available”. Specifically, and without limiting how general that is:

• We do not guarantee any level of uptime and we offer no service level agreement.
• A stream may be interrupted, degraded, delayed, or terminated mid-event.
• A recording may be incomplete, or may not exist at all.
• Highlight detection may miss the best moment of a game, or clip something that is not a moment. It listens to crowd reaction, and crowds are not reliable narrators.
• An upload may fail. A reel may fail to build. A clip may not be where you expected it to be.
• We may change, limit, suspend or discontinue any part of the service — including a feature you depend on — at any time.
• We may carry out maintenance without notice, including while an event is running.

None of the above is a breach of these terms, and none of it entitles you to compensation beyond what section 12 provides for paid plans.

5. Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you stream, upload or create. We claim no ownership of your footage, your clips, your reels, your banner artwork or your profile.

To run the service at all, we need permission to handle it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transcode, segment, thumbnail, archive and transmit your content for the purpose of operating and improving SportsLive24. That licence is what lets us turn an RTMP stream into something a phone can play. It is not a claim on your work, and we do not use your footage to promote the product without asking you first.

It also permits us to use content to develop and improve our automated features — highlight detection above all, which only gets better by being tested against real games. If you would prefer your footage excluded from that, email hello@sportslive24.net and we will exclude it.

This licence ends when you remove the content, except where section 6 or section 11 says otherwise.

6. The Remix Licence

This is the section we would most like you to read twice. SportsLive24 is built so that a moment can travel: a clip becomes a reel, a reel gets shared, and the person who filmed the game gets credit wherever it lands. This is how that works legally.

What you grant. By streaming or uploading content to SportsLive24, you grant every other paid user of the platform a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to create derivative works from that content — clips, reels, compilations and edits — and to publish, share and distribute those derivative works, on SportsLive24 and anywhere else.

The condition is attribution. The licence is conditional on the derivative work carrying attribution to the original streamer. Every reel built on SportsLive24 has an overlay burned into its pixels identifying the streamer or their sponsor. That overlay is the attribution. It is burned into the picture rather than attached as metadata precisely so that it survives being downloaded, re-uploaded to Instagram, or forwarded over WhatsApp — the attribution travels with the video, wherever the video goes.

Defeating the attribution ends the licence. If you crop, obscure, blur, overwrite or otherwise remove the overlay from a derivative work, your licence to that derivative work terminates immediately, and any continued use of it infringes the original streamer's copyright.

It is irrevocable, and it survives your account. Once someone has built a reel from your footage under this licence, that reel is theirs to keep. Deleting your content, or closing your account, does not withdraw the licence for derivative works already created. We chose this deliberately: the alternative is that a coach who closes an account in March retroactively invalidates a season of highlights that families have already shared, and those families did nothing wrong. It is also why our deletion process retains a streamer's footage under an anonymised owner rather than cascading the delete.

What the Remix Licence does not permit:

• Selling the original footage as standalone footage, or licensing it onward as though it were yours.
• Claiming authorship of the underlying material.
• Removing, replacing or defeating the attribution overlay.
• Using the content to train a machine learning model, other than SportsLive24's own automated features under section 5.
• Anything section 9 prohibits.

Free accounts do not receive it. The Remix Licence runs to paid users. Without a paid plan you may watch content shared with you, but you do not receive the right to build and publish derivative works from someone else's footage.

7. Takedowns and the Remix Licence

A takedown is different from revoking a licence, and the difference matters.

Where we remove content because a person appearing in it objected, because a parent or guardian asked, or because it breached section 9, we will also make reasonable efforts to remove derivative works we can identify that were built from it on SportsLive24. Section 6 makes the licence irrevocable as between users; it does not stop us acting on a safety, consent or legal complaint, and it does not oblige us to keep hosting anything.

We cannot recall copies that have already left the platform. Nobody can. That is another reason to read section 6 before you stream.

8. If you stream, consent is your responsibility

This is the obligation we cannot discharge for you, and the one most likely to cause you real trouble if you ignore it. We are not in the room. We do not know who is on the pitch, who is in the stands, or what the venue agreed to.

By streaming or uploading to SportsLive24, you represent and warrant that:

• you have the right to film at the venue, and the venue has permitted it;
• you have obtained whatever consent is required from the people who appear in frame — and from a parent or guardian where those people are minors;
• you have the right to distribute that footage publicly, including the right for other paid users to build derivative reels from it under section 6;
• and you have made clear to whoever granted that consent that the footage is retrievable by anyone holding the link, as our Privacy Policy describes.

Youth sport. Where the subjects are minors, consent must come from a parent or guardian, must be obtained before you stream, and is obtained by you or by the club, school or league you are streaming for. We will act on an objection from a parent or guardian without requiring them to prove anything to us first, and we will not wait for you to agree.

You indemnify us against claims arising from footage you streamed without the rights to stream it. That is not boilerplate — it is the practical consequence of the fact that you were there and we were not.

9. What you may not post

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. The following are prohibited outright:

• Anything unlawful, or that promotes unlawful activity.
• Any sexual content involving a minor. We report this to the authorities without exception and without warning.
• Harassment, bullying, threats, or content targeting a person for abuse.
• Hate speech, or content attacking people on the basis of a protected characteristic.
• Footage filmed without the consent required by section 8.
• Impersonating another person, team, club or organisation.
• Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
• Malware, scraping, credential stuffing, circumventing our limits or access controls, or interfering with the service for others.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts for any of the above, at our discretion, without prior notice.

10. Reporting content, and how we respond

Report anything objectionable to hello@sportslive24.net. Include a link, or enough detail for us to find it. You do not need an account to make a report.

• We aim to review reports of objectionable content within 24 hours and to remove anything that breaches section 9.
• Reports involving a minor, or made by a parent or guardian, are handled first.
• If we act on a report about your content we will tell you, unless doing so would put someone at risk.
• We may suspend an account while we review, and we terminate repeat offenders.

11. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on SportsLive24 infringes your copyright, email hello@sportslive24.net with: your contact details; identification of the work; identification of the material you say infringes it and where to find it; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised; a statement that your notice is accurate; and your signature, electronic or physical.

We will remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice, and tell the person who posted it. They may send a counter-notice, and we will pass it on to you. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

12. Paid plans, billing and refunds

• Plans are billed in advance at the price displayed at the time you subscribe, and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.
• A 30-day money-back guarantee applies to your first paid period. Ask within 30 days of that first charge and we will refund it in full, no reasons required.
• Prices exclude applicable taxes, which are added where required.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days notice, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
• We do not refund for the interruptions and failures described in section 4. That is what the guarantee above, and your right to cancel, are for.

13. Ending this agreement

• You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. Our Privacy Policy describes exactly what that removes and what it retains.
• We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, or where we are required to by law.
• On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.

What survives termination: the Remix Licence granted to other users under section 6, in respect of derivative works already created; sections 5 and 6 as they apply to that content; and sections 8, 14, 15, 16 and 18.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SportsLive24 is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

We specifically do not warrant that highlight detection will identify any particular moment, that a recording will be complete, or that any given stream will run to the end of the game. Section 4 is the plain-language version of this paragraph and takes precedence if the two ever seem to disagree.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunity, lost recruitment or scholarship prospects, or reputational harm.

We are not liable for lost, incomplete or unrecorded footage, for a stream that failed, or for a moment the system did not clip. Section 4 explains why, and section 4's note explains what to do about it.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or CAD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limits above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sports Live Productions Incorporated and its officers, employees and contractors against any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of content you streamed or uploaded, your breach of these terms, or your breach of section 8's consent obligations.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of the page always reflects the current version, and the log at the foot records what changed. For a material change we will give at least 30 days notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, delete your account.

18. Governing law, and the rest

• These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario.
• The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
• Nothing here removes a consumer protection right that the law of your home jurisdiction gives you and does not allow you to waive.
• If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that provision is narrowed to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable.
• Our not enforcing something on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it later.
• You may not assign these terms. We may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
• These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the service.
